This cosy holiday cottage with views over open countryside is situated a mile from the village of Lowick and sleeps two people.The Bothy is a cosy holiday cottage with views over open countryside, situated next to the owners farmhouse, a mile from the pretty village of Lowick. This cottage sleeps two people and has a double bedroom, a bathroom, a ground floor shower room and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a woodburning stove. Outside there is ample off road parking and an enclosed front, gravelled area with furniture and barbecue. The Bothy is a wonderful holiday base for a romantic retreat.

Amenities: Oil central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, radio, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off road parking. Enclosed, front gravelled garden with furniture and BBQ. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile. Note: Bedroom has sloping ceilings.

Region: Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Town: The appealing village of Lowick is excellently placed for a holiday in the unspoiled region of Northumberland. The village has a store and two public houses and is only two miles from the village of Ford and the Etal estate, with its castle and craft shops. The Etal Estate offers activities such as fishing, cycling and a mini railway, making this an ideal day out for the whole family. There are eight golf courses within a 20-mile radius, and many other attractions including the border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, Lindisfarne on the Holy Island and the spectacular Cheviot Hills. The impressive Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the beautiful vast sandy beaches of the Heritage Coast are all within an easy drive. Lowick is perfectly placed as holiday destination that can be enjoyed all year round.

We really love this place, quiet, no-one bothers you. Homely and comfortable. Great for Holy Island. Hope to go again one day.

Love this place!

Second time here, never long enough. Lovely s/c bothy with all you could ask for. If I had to find a slight downer, we are used to a bigger bed but it was cosy!

Cosily warm, well appointed relaxing retreat in lovely rural setting!

Thoroughly enjoyed the relaxation in exceptionally warm and welcoming barn conversion. Perfect for us as a couple and handily located for the beautiful Northumberland coast and Holy Island.
