Our Townhouse in the centre of Historic Melrose, the heart of the beautiful Scottish Borders, is a truly delightful property in a prime position overlooking the Market Square and the garden behind the house catches the sun all day.

Our Townhouse suits couples as well as larger groups and we have the loveliest of comments, many from returning guests, in the visitors’ book.

Look out from the four large picture windows in the reception rooms on the first floor, to the comings and goings in the Square below with its market cross, wonderful array of individual shops and amazing choice of eating and drinking places.

Enjoy a grandstand view of the town’s many events, from festivals to pipe band competitions. Relax in comfort in the stylish sitting room or pass the time in the pretty garden behind the house.

This is a delightful property that offers a spacious kitchen/diner as well as a separate, comfortable sitting room.

The house is warmed in the colder months by gas central heating where additional gas fires add to the ambiance of the two main reception rooms.

There are two spacious double bedrooms on the top floor (one bedroom has an extra single bed).

The house bathroom is situated between these rooms.

On the 1st. floor there is a smaller, single, en-suite bedroom that can be made up as a double or a twin if required.

Our sunny garden with its patio and table seating for six is accessed through the laundry area on the ground floor.

Guests mainly choose to use the free parking just beyond the bottom of our garden as it takes only a couple of minutes to walk back to the house.

This Townhouse really does provide a wonderfully central position from which to enjoy walking, golfing, fishing, riding, exploring local history or simply watching the world go by in this loveliest of Border towns.

Before your arrival, you will be sent the code to access the key, the mob. number of the person who manages our changeovers and the wifi code as well as other useful information that will make your visit as relaxing as possible. Apart from the top 2 double bedrooms, with their bathroom between, Bedroom 3 ( the smallest room) has a single bed that can be made into a double. There is also a single sofa chair that can be used in this room for families that need twin beds. This bedroom has the ensuite shower. Depending on the make-up of your party, just let us know in advance if you prefer bedroom 3 to be prepared other than a single.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
