We can now offer an air conditioning unit (only one) and fans for those hotter months but you must request these as they are not always stored at the house.

CATTON HOUSE is a well decorated home from home place to stay, which has been fully prepared for your holiday.

The house has stripped wooden floors and doors, a modern kitchen and bathroom, tastefully decorated with added style with home from home accessories.

The master bedroom has a double bed, large wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedsides and arm chair - double aspect windows to the front and rear. The second master has a double bed, bedsides and chest of drawers and also has double aspect windows. The single room has a single bed with full size pull out single trundle bed for a 2nd guest and is ideal for children. The living/dining room as all you need for a super family stay. The dining table is great for socialising and playing the various vintage board games offered and a large flat screen TV with 60+ FreeView channels. There is an array of comfy seating including a 3 seater sofa, window seating and arm chair. The kitchen has all you need to self cater during your stay - including all the basics to start your cooking (complementary coffee/tea, salt etc but are not guaranteed). There is a built-in electric hob and oven and in the outside wash room with a washing machine for those longer stays, The bathroom (no bath) has a double rain shower and high level Victorian styled cistern and toilet. Outside there is parking for up to 3 cars in the front area and the rear offers a super private enclosed garden with a dining and lawned area. We allow a well-behaved and happy pet (medium/small breeds only - sorry) to stay but please do ask before you book.

PLEASE NOTE - for larger groups there is only one toilet/one double shower room (no bath) which is located on the ground floor. All bedrooms are on the first floor via a stairway. We can accommodate up to 6 guests but this is only suitable for parent/child groups (Eg. 1 family with up to 4 children, 2 families with maximum 4 children etc). It is NOT suitable for all adult groups who are single as there are not enough private bedrooms. We will not be able to accept hen or stag parties as our neighbours are friends and are precious to us. This house does not allow parties or events at anytime and noise is limited between the hours of 10pm until 8.30am. Thanks for understanding. Due to hygiene reasons we are not able to offer a baby cot.

Our houses are purpose prepped self catering holiday let properties (not houses which are lived in and rented out like many places on these websites). Each house is yours for the entirety of your stay and therefore allows you to have a secluded and peaceful environment for you and your loved ones to enjoy away from the crowds (unlike the hotel/Guest House crowded lift, noisy corridor or busy cafe).

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Anthony (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
