Squirrel cottage has its own fenced in garden with patio furniture for al fresco dining. One bedroom is a double the other can either be 1 king & 1 single or 3 singles. Bathroom also has separate shower enclosure, fully equipped kitchen/diner. Lounge with patio door to garden, with a wooded view beyond, a great place to spot the deer as they pass by to the natural pond for a drink. Flat screen television with free-view channels. The property abounds with wildlife, Squirrels, rabbits, foxes and deer to name a few plus a countless variety of birds (A bird watchers paradise!) A few yards from the cottage is the pool house with heated pool and 5 person Jacuzzi/hot tub which guests have private use of. Lots of children have been taught to swim whilst staying here. The back lawn only can be used by guest for ball games and badminton. The property lies at the end of a private lane in the beautiful Wensum Valley, officially designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, an excellent totally peaceful location from which to explore Norfolk. Our grounds are next to Taverham Mill & Nature Reserve where there is a lovely walk through woods, fields & along side the river, there is also a coffee shop. Pensthorpe is a short ride away. Good value places for dining out 10min drive away. New for March 2016 Games Room with Ping-Pong, Pool, Football table, Dart Board, books. New for 2020 en-suite to double bedroom. HEATED POOL AVAILABLE END OF MARCH TO END OF OCTOBER, HOT-TUB AVAILABLE ALL YEAR. Guests staying have private use of pool, owners also use pool.

Fantastic break away

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Christine (the owner) a message.

If Christine (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
