Hollyhock Cottage is a home from home with many luxury features, the main cottage has an undercover entrance with Table Tennis & Picnic table where you can sit and dine out on warm summer evenings, the stable door leads in to a fully equipped dining kitchen with dishwasher, double oven, fridge/freezer & microwave. (High chair available on request).

Leading on from the kitchen is a large oak beamed lounge with comfortable leather sofas with foot stool seating up to 8 people, log burner (electric) for a cosy effect without the hassle and large flat screen TV & DVD player.

The first double bedroom is on the ground floor alongside the laundry room and shower room with large floor level shower, vanity basin and high level toilet. (Shower seat available on request).

Upstairs is the family bathroom with a further double and twin bedroom and the fourth double bedroom and ensuite is located around the back of the cottage in the annex which has its own undercover entrance for guests that love to retire to their own space and privacy. The entrance hall has a small fridge with tea/coffee making facilities and overlooks the Farmhouse courtyard.

The cottage will be made up to your requirements complete with linen, towels and all of the basics to get you started. We also have travel cots available on request but ask that you provide babies bedding.

High speed wifi throughout the property for those who like to stay in touch with the outside world but look for a place to stay where they can relax and unwind.

The cottage is furnished and decorated to a 5 star standard with underfloor heating on the ground floor, radiators upstairs and heated towels rails in all of the bathrooms.

We have recently had an Electric Vehicle Charging point installed for our guests who have embraced sustainability.

The extensive grounds are laid out to give the guests somewhere to sit and enjoy the wildlife, we have dotted benches and two summerhouses by the wildlife lake where you can enjoy watching the ducks, dragon flies, many different types of birds and the beautiful sunsets followed by the bats in the evening. There are a number of dinning sets where you can sit and BBQ or just have a drink and a chat, you are welcome to have a wander around the vegetable gardens and visit the chickens to the rear. The cottage can be booked in conjunction with our other cottages, The retreat, Orchard cottage and the Oak Lodge and collectively they can sleep 20 guests

We aim to have the cottage prepared for your arrival from 3pm and as we live on site we are generally around if you need us but we will leave you to enjoy your stay in peace, if you could let us know an expected time of arrival we will be here to greet you, show you around and hand over the keys from then on you can relax and make yourselves at home. We also offer our guests the chance purchase a selection of homemade produce Jams, Chutneys and Jellies made by ourselves using fruit and vegetables from the grounds plus our Award winning Honey and freshly laid free range Eggs. We have a wildlife pond area where we ask that children are accompanied at all times.

Why can't I call Kaye / Richard (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How can I view and manage my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to view all your booking details, pay the balance of your holiday or cancel it if you need to.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

We’ll automatically charge the balance payment to the same payment method 10 days before it’s due. Go to Manage my holiday booking to see when the payment will be taken.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Kaye / Richard (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kaye / Richard (the owner) a message.

If Kaye / Richard (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
