One of six charming and tranquil self-catering converted houses, The Oast House is a lovely house with private Arctic Spa Jacuzzi and garden, set in the extensive grounds of Pekes, a Tudor Manor House.

The Oast House at Pekes consists of two large round towers, which were originally used for drying hops for beer making during the 19th century, plus a large accommodation area. The two towers were divided in halves, providing two large circular upstairs bedrooms, and a large downstairs living room and a dining room. The added “barn area” now forms an attractive double bedroom upstairs, with bathroom and another single bedroom and separate WC. Downstairs there is a delightful "country-style" kitchen, plus a shower room and a cloakroom with WC and washbasin.

Pekes Houses in East Sussex, situated 10 miles inland from the sea, is within easy driving distance of Brighton, Eastbourne and Lewes. A private estate up a drive of 350 yards with unspoilt views of the countryside, Pekes offers unique self-catering holidays in a very tranquil rural setting. The facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, lawn badminton, hard Macadam style tennis court nice childrens' play area and extensive gardens & park.

Included are central heating and hot water, a fully equipped kitchen, and all fresh linen, towels and cleaning, as well as started quatnties of essentials.

Eva who owns Pekes is now no longer resident, and I Kildare, who with my wife Sarah looks after Pekes for her, is not always at Pekes. So when you arrive at Peke, we may not be there to greet you, but the house will be completely prepared for your arrival, and the key will be in the door, and if necessary the heating will be on - all ready to make you feel at home. A member of our team will visit you the day after your arrival to make sure you have everything you want, and there are numbers to call in your Welcome pack in case of need.

How do damage deposits work?
